Refutations of society's myths that cause misery A few foundational facts All crimes are self serving. All sins are selfish. All sins are addictive. All addictions are enslaving. Those who minimize sin are strengthening slavery. The most tragic thing about the slavery of addictions is that people are buying their modern slavery. Democracy and capitalism decentralize and disperse power. Socialism and bureaucracies concentrate power in the hands of an elite few. The magical thing about capitalism is that a business's employees are also its customers. Generally, if a company does not pay its employees enough to buy the product they create, then the company will not do well. It is circular economics. Those who can do, those who can't, criticize. The best cure for depression is not keeping busy, but accomplishing things. The more specialized your work, the more leisure time you have to find trouble. The smart husband says not to criticize your wife's weight unless you want to go on a diet. Those who want to control first need to incite fear. Pleasure is the best aphrodisiac. Righteousness is sexiest. Sex means more to women than to men. Men are the ones who try and say that an affair does not mean anything. Pornography is like paying to look into a candy store window, and not being allowed inside. A parent's job is to teach the child to be independent and constructive. The louder you speak, the less they hear. People are too important to waste their lives consuming entertainment. If children do nothing but play, they cannot take a break, they can have no variety. Coercion and abuse don't work. Punishments and rewards need to be individually tailored to each child. Love is NOT about self gratification. Love is not selfish. Neither pedophilia, fornication, nor adultery are love. Promiscuity is more about publicity than it is about love Divorce does not happen unless one or both spouses are selfish. Ability and capability are empowering and liberating. Righteousness encourages capability in many areas. Anger breaches the whole armor of God. Simplicity cannot mask deception as well as complexity and convolutions do. Evil seeks to diminish us down to no more than that part of our body that is addicted. The greatest empowerment is access to the most powerful Being in the universe. Prayer is not a little thing. It is distortion and deception to teach that we cannot become like our parents, and like the Father of our spirits. |
