In Loving Memory

Carol Lorraine Young

July 8, 1948 ~ March 1, 2004

As you sleep she watches
Comfort in your rest
Her hands are softly touching
Appearance God's request

Knowing that you need Her
With wings she flew to you
Now she's there to comfort
God's Angel in your view

Feel her wings around you
In sleep you find great peace
The passion of your sorrow
This moment of release

Angel singing softly
Love's sweetest lullaby
Heart is now reviving
The gift of God on High

Sleep on through the sorrow
She takes away all pain
Tears of your tomorrow
Will somehow seem to wane

Awaken to the feeling
That you never are alone
Allow her now to enter
Your heart becomes her own.

I never had the honor of meeting Carol in person.  But I have come to know her and love her though her best friend, Sherry Mueller.  I know Carol never met a stranger; would give her last dime to anyone in need.  And I know she was the type of person we could be proud to call friend.

I know she had  a huge heart,  and could make you laugh even on the darkest of days.  I know she loved children although she was never blessed to have children of her own.  And I know her love recently poured down  from Heaven to bless several of our Caring Bridge Families.

I know she brought much joy and happiness to this world in spite of her own medical problems.  And I know there is more of her story yet to tell.

I know she is truly missed by her friend, Sherry and her family and was greatly loved by many.  And I know I am sorry I didn't have the chance to know her in this lifetime.

I look forward to meeting her in Heaven.
