~ Favorite Season ~
There is a coziness About the wintertime When whirling snowflakes scurry And huge black logs blaze; I think that I would miss this In a southern clime That brings no change From endless summer, sunny days. And have you noticed How a dazzling, bright snowstorm Brings quick and friendly greetings With a wave and a shout From neighbors and from strangers? There is something warm And friendly about wintertime, Within, without. I never have liked the staleness, And when the seasons change I welcome them for each one brings Its own bequest.
