My IRISH ANCESTORS
All of my immigrant ancestors emigrated from various counties in Ireland and settled in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. When they arrived most of them went to work in the anthracite coal mines of Schuylkill County and lived in "Patches" controlled by the mining interests in the state. The surnames of the original immigrants that I am researching are: BRENNAN, CATON, CONNORS, COOGAN, GREEN, HAGEN, HEDE (HEAD), KENNEDY, KING, MCGARRY MURPHY, SHEA, SHERRY, SUNDERLAND.
