Brief History of Starland International School
It was in the year 2001 when a simple dream
came into existence… a vision of sharing one’s talents which God
has given…an aspiration of altruism, a selfless concern for the
well-being of others.
Starland Kiddie School commenced as a small
school where classes were held in a humble sala with twenty (20)
nursery and kindergarten kids who were enthusiastic to learn.
Teacher Jean Dumago patiently and wholeheartedly taught each of
these young achievers to read, to write, and to count at the end
of the school year.
In 2005 the number of pupils grew to 387, and
thus, branches in Cubao and Caloocan were opened. On that same
year, Starland Kiddie School was changed to Starland Academy
Incorporated which offered the complete course for the
elementary level. A High School Department was also launched for
the first year up to the third year level only.
During the school term 2006 - 2007, the
School Administration received a number of inquiries on how
foreigners like Koreans, Chinese and even Arab Nationals could
enroll in the school. Soon they had become part of Starland
family. This paved the way to an avenue of change.
On January 19, 2007, a great evolution sprung
when the institution was blessed with a complete Pre-School,
Grade School and High School courses. This gave birth to
Starland International School, Inc.
With its continued expansion and growth,
Starland International School, Inc. aims to provide better
facilities necessary in the achievement of the internationalized
quality education and service among its student body. |
