Shelties of Quality Since 1977 Bare Cove is located in the New England historic coastal town of Hingham, Massachusetts which is about 19 miles southeast of Boston. The town was founded in 1633 and was first called "Bare Cove" due to the treeless hills seen from the cove where the first settlers came ashore.  Now you know where the Bare Cove Shelties got their name.
