wpe3.jpg (15460 bytes) BAAT's annual Tazungdine/Thanksgiving party will be held at Tracy Gee Community Center on Saturday, November 13, 1999. This year's BAAT party coincides with its 10th Anniversary of Incorporation. BAAT presents the famous contemporary Burmese singer May Sweet. You and your family are cordially invited to join us for an evening of fun, great food, music, and fellowship. Bring your friends along to share the fun also. We encourage you to wear traditional Myanmar dress. During the evening, we will also spend a moment to pay respect to our elders and honorable members in a Myanmar Traditional manner. We encourage our elderly members to join us to celebrate.



Time/Date: Saturday November 13, 1999 (5:00 PM to 11:00 PM)

Dinner:Free dinner will be served to dues-paid members and families. Non dues-paid members and guests are also welcome at $5.00 per person. There will be food like DanPauk, Mohingha, and KyarSan Hingar for everyone. We like to encourage each family to bring a dessert..

Entertainment:

The special entertainer of the evening is the famous actress/singer May Sweet. We have also invited Eric Mynn and Thar Gyi of Austin along with their Flying Tiger band. There will be entertainment from local talents from Houston also. Please come to the event as early as possible. Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm promptly.

Tentative Schedule for the Evening

Please come to the event promptly, 5 pm. We would like to maximize the time available for the musical program. Foods will be served by 5:30 pm. During the dinner, soft musical program from "Flying Tiger" musical band will be featured. Food stall will be closed by 7 pm enabling volunteers to join to the start of the musical program by May Sweet. There will be a brief intermission at the half of the musical program for tea, coffee and desserts. BAAT invited a professional Burmese photographer to take picture and video of this event. Edited videos will be made available for members on purchase.

Any member from out of town, who needs a place to stay in Houston for this weekend, please contacts Myo Aye Thane at 713-914-4371. We have some volunteer hosts who would like to welcome out of town guests to their homes. Volunteers are Dr. and Mrs. Hla Aung, and U and Mrs. Than Shwe.
