I love the sling. Austin loves the sling. When he was a newborn he just curled up in it. Now that he is older and likes to see what is going on I cary him like a kangroo. He just sits there and looks at what is going on in his world.I think the sling is so great because it helps keep the baby close to his/her mom. I know that you might think about the snuggle things, but how do you breastfeed a newborn sitting up? The sling has at least 5 diffrent positions.
Using the sling has helped with breastfeeding in public. It took me awhile to learn how to nurse Austin laying down, but when we got the hang of it we nursed everywhere! And now that Austin is sitting up I put him on my hip and he can nurse while I am walking. He has even gotten to the point where he lifts my shirt when he is ready for his "num-nums."
Also, the sling has helped keep my hands free while I help take care of my older child. It never fails that you sit down with the baby and your older child comes up and says "Mommy can I have some juice?"
