Ancestors of Martha Jane Linton

Spencer County, Kentucky
Martha Jane "Mattie" Linton was the first wife of Amos Richard Presley. She died of breast cancer during the summer of 1891, when her son, Isaac Martin Presley, was three years old. Isaac Martin Presley remembered his mother sitting up in bed sewing a little black suit (See Photo of suit) for him to wear to her funeral. She is buried at Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield, Ky. near Taylorsville. She does not have a tombstone and no burial records exist.
