On 08 October 2003, Edith and Glenda Bastin visited the Louisville Public Library and studied old city directories for Louisville, KY and New Albany/Jeffersonville, IN. The Louisville city directories go back to 1832!
The earliest directory in which we found Amos Richard Presley was 1897-1899, where he was listed as living in Jeffersonville, IN. Interestingly, Amos' son (Thomas) was mentioned in the 1897 through 1902 Jeffersonville city directories. Thomas's address was listed as being the same as Amos's address. Obviously, Thomas Richard Presley (brother to Isaac Martin Presley) did not die circa 1892 as we had previously thought! We later obtain Thomas Richard Presley's death certificate from Clark Co., IN which stated Thomas' death as being 14 May 1903 with burial in Eastern Cemetery (aka Chestnut Grove Cemetery), Port Fulton, Jeffersonville, Clark Co, IN.
