James Hickey and Jane Carswell
James Hickey was born near Nashville, Tn. In 1804 his family migrated to Burke co. Ga. It was there that James Hickey and Jane Carswell married 22nd Jan 1818. Jane Carswell's Parents were John C Carswell (Jan 1760-Mar 2nd 1817) and Sarah Wright (1768-1808).John C Carswell's parents were Alexander Carswell born Ayr Scotland (1727-1803) and Isabell Brown, born Co Clare ireland.
In 1829, after drawing lot 86 in the 24th district of Lee Co. Ga.(1827 Creek Land Lottery) James and Jane Hickey along with their family moved to their new lot which later became part of Chattahoochee Co. James Hickey owned several lots near his home. This Hickey homestead is now part of Fort Benning having been bought in 1941 by the US army. There is a Hickey cemetery in front of the original homestead, now enclosed within the fort.

Alexander Carswell Hickey and Mary C Whigam
Alexander Carswell was born in Burke Co. Ga. Alexander married Mary Catherine Whigam on 15th Dec 1841, in Decatur co. Ga.. Mary Catherine was born around 1823/4 in Jefferson Co Ga. Her parents were Thomas Whigam (1798-1863) and Catherine Patterson Whigam (1797-1863). In 1853 Alexander died of typhoid, he is buried in the cemetery within Fort Benning. After Alexander's death Mary moved her family by cart, which took 5 days, to Recovery Ga. where her family lived. Mary married Eli Davis Aug 31st 1870.

Zachary Franklin Hickey and Mollie Green
Zachary, was born in Bainbridge Ga. He moved from Ga. to Texas as a young man and settled near San Antonio. He married Mollie Green in Texas. Although Mollie Green was also born in Ga. they did not meet until they were in Texas. Both Mollie and Zachary are buried in Lockhart Tx.

William Henry Hickey married Clara Beatrice Johnston
William Henry Hickey was born in Washington Co. Tx.  William Henry Hickey met Clara Beatrice Johnston in San Antonio where her mother ran a boarding house. William Henry Hickey drove a street car. He married Clara beatrice Jan 7th 1903. Clara Beatrice was born in Wilson Co Tx.
