(Henry Sr) Damm
Heinrich Henry Sr was born in Gnarrenburg Germany. Gnarrenburg is North
of Bremen. It is believed Heinrich and Anna Gertrude his wife may have
had a country store as he was listed as a merchant in the 1860 Benton County,
Missouri census. He also seems to have been in the home guards as he is
registered in the home guards roster of 1861 as Regt commissionary seargant.
He is also listed in the original roster of the Holy Cross Lutheran, NE
of Cole Camp (Benton Co MO) under an entry for his daughters birth Martha
Elizabeth.

John Damm son of Heinrich sr and Anna Gertrude played the 2nd E flat
alto in the Cole Camp Band which was organised in 1873.

of early Cole Camp days seems to have run a log cabin saloon.

Martha Elizabeth Damm son of Heinrich sr and Anna Gertrude was
born in Cole Camp, Benton Co, Missouri at her parents home. She was baptised
11th December 1842 and born 26th October 1841. The Holy Cross Lutheran
Church was just being organised at this time which accounts for the 10
month gap between birth and Baptism. She married Luetje Rugen on
18th Feb 1859.
