see how ARPKD.(Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney
Disease) has affected our lives. Our first child ,Lil
Paul, was born with ARPKD and only lived 10 hours. He
is our little angel in heaven watching over us. Our
second child Amanda was not affected by ARPKD. She is
a very happy 6 year old who is in First Grade.
Oh what fun she is having. And our little one Alyssa,
was also born with ARPKD. She has been
through so much to be so little. On October 28, 1999
I donated one of my kidneys to her and she is doing
great. Then on November 23, 1999 she had to have her
left eye removed due to a very rare eye cancer
called Retinoblastoma.. Please keep checking back I will
be adding more about how she is doing. On January 18, 2000
she will get fitted for her prosthetic eye. Alyssa will be 3 in April.
