LITTLE AXE, OKLAHOMA!!

What family room is complete without
the photo album?? None, I say!! So. . .
here are pictures of just a few of our youngsters.

rose

This is our "leader of the pack", Rose. Rose came by HIS name in a very peculiar way. At one point, we had about 15 goats. When it came time to make room for more cows, we sold them all. . . except for Rose. I could not imagine life on the farm without him. **Update** On 09/17/98 we had to have Rose put to sleep. He had outlived his life expectancy of 10 years. He became very sick, it was a very hard decision to make:((
THANK YOU ROSE, FOR ALL THE HAPPINESS YOU HAVE GIVEN ME:)

cowey

This is "Cowey", our very first cow to purchase. She was wild at first, enough that she jumped out of the trailer on the ride home. You heard me, yes she jumped out. I didn't like her much after that, but she began to grow on me. She is so tame now that she enjoys being brushed, and will even tilt her head so that you can brush her neck real good! **Update** Just two days after Rose's death 09/19/98, Cowey gave birth to a spunky baby boy:)) We have lovingly named him "Freezer Object"

Freezer Object

bullboy

We actually have not named ALL the animals, this is the male (left) on the range, known as "Bullboy". On the right is his mother. ~~Update:(~~ On Sunday, August 16, the mother cow in this picture died. She was pregnant and apparently developed complications. We found her that Sunday morning laying in the pond, just at the edge, still alive. Several of our neighbors tried to help us get her out, but we could not. She found enough strength to fight us in this effort and as a result, drowned.

duke

This is "Duke", goes without saying! He is a 'liver' spotted dalmatian. He is the typical firehouse dog. He climbs the ladder to our back deck, and has no respect at all for any fence. His IQ must be at least 175!!! He completely understands whatever is said to him.
