On Sunday 19 July 1998 the Combined ACT Obedience Clubs staged Canberra's annual Endurance Test. The day was fine but chilly to start with and six Dalmatians turned out to compete in the trial:
All the Dallys passed the day's test and became eligible for their Endurance Test (ET) title.
At this stage I have just scanned some photos taken on the day - I hope to write a bit more text to go with them. By the way, for more information on Endurance Tests, I have also uploaded the ANKC Rules for the Conduct of an Endurance Test.
Prior to the start, all the dogs in the first group line up ready to go.
Barbara Helland and Lucy, followed by Tim Hurst and Nemo, then Martin Richards handling Snoopy, Steve Orr with Duke and Jim Bullard with Fluke.
Martin and Snoopy, both looking far too happy!
Jim and Fluke getting down to business.
Tim and Nemo, followed by Snoopy, Duke and Fluke.
Later in the day the temperature started to rise so a few took off tracksuit pants to expose some very white legs!
This is Antony and Red, followed by Lucy, Nemo and Snoopy.
A few seconds later, this is Steve and Duke followed by Fluke.
Barbara and Lucy finishing the short obedience test that concludes the test. The Judge is on the left, Dr John Montgomery.
The successful Dalmatians and owners (less Steve and Duke because Steve had to rush to the airport to catch a plane).
L to R: Antony and Red; Barbara and Lucy; Tim and Nemo; Martin and Snoopy; Jim and Fluke.
