We strive to breed the Labrador Retriever as described in the standard set down for our breed, a copy of which you will also find here, and hope our dogs not only meet that standard but are the working dog they are supposed to be. The most important things about our dogs to us would be temperament, soundness (of mind and body) and the desire to work for and please the people they live with. All of that in one package obviously a Lab means we've been successful!

While touring our site, you will notice that some pages have a blurred/feathered photo appearance - those are indeed dogs from Snowyriver - Mica, Juliet, Ruler puppies and Barley with her puppy Jenny. See if you can find them! PLEASE NOTE: The SNOWYRIVER KIDS page is PHOTO INTENSIVE & may take few moments to load - but it's worth the wait!

Most of the dogs you will see on our site were bred by us. All of them have either their championship, a working or obedience title or they are working on them - but there are many dogs of our breeding who will never be seen on this site and of whom we are equally proud - they are the dogs who are hunting partners - but that have never run the test. Others are service dogs - and for them there is no specific title (except Invaluable!) and then there are the dogs who are members of someone's family and who should have titles but don't - for them the title should be PET. This is what a Labrador Retriever is all about.
