Welcome to the

Morrison Home Page

The Morrisons, Fran, Bill, Jennifer, Diane and Eric, along with our menagerie of pets, live in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.

We have a grey Arabian horse named Dyllion who is shown by Jennifer and Diane at local horse shows, and in 4-H. All three children are very active members of The Rising Sun 4-H Club, participating in light horse, dog obedience, rabbit, crafts, foods, cavy (guinea pig), computer projects and last but not least, Public Speaking.

Fran is the General Leader of the club and Bill is the Light Horse leader. Both Fran and Bill are members of the Cape Breton County 4-H Leaders' Council.

Fran is an Artist and an Executive Assistant, trained and experienced in New York City, having worked for a jewelry company, an advertising agency, and retail sales. She moved back to Cape Breton in 1981 and worked for the Cape Breton Development Corporation, Donkin-Morien Development Poject as Project Secretary for five years. She is now employed by Seaboard Industrial Supply Co., Ltd. as Webmaster, Systems Administrator and Secretary, along with free-lance contract work.

Fran also enjoys working with her dog, Hundmeister's Classy Sassy. They are currently members of the Cape Breton Working Dog Club which is dedicated to the SPORT of Schutzhund.

From February 1996 until May, 1998 Fran was very involved with the Sierra Club of Canada. Her involvement included an organized protest of the proposed burial of the Sydney Tar Ponds, and then organizing people to work with the Sierra Club, Cape Breton Group. She was contracted to organize A Toxic Exchange between two communities - Fort Valley Georgia, and Sydney, Nova Scotia. She left her environmental efforts so that she could concentrate on her 4-H club and family.
