In December of 1976, four men joined voices to perform a special Christmas quartet song for their local Church. It was so well received, that other songs were learned and performed at local churches: thus began "Jubilation Quartet".
Perhaps like many quartets, it first began as a fun-filled and self-gratifying thing to do, while at the same time, presented a ministry. It wasn't long however, that the lives of the quartet members were touched, and it slowly evolved into something "for" Jesus rather than something "about" Jesus.
Twenty years and six recordings later, there have been very few personnel changes, with three of the original four still active in the group today. It is estimated that since it's beginning, Jubilation has participated in more than one thousand programs, concerts, revivals, benefits, homecomings, special celebrations, and church services.
Jubilation Quartet has never charged a fee for its ministry and has maintained an attitude that God always provides for His faithful followers. They believe that churches should pray about what role to play in support of the quartet ministry. Jubilation is a quartet of Southen Gospel style and place an emphasis on the older more traditional four-part harmony songs so loved by quartet enthusiasts.
All quartet members are devoted Christian men and are very active in their own churches.
