What I have to date is the following: Lord and Lady Kyle were members of Irish Nobility. There were land owners at Clair Castle, County Down, Ireland. Their daughter Mary Kyle, ran off to marry a commoner, Billie Glass. They had a daughter Mary who married Sam McAdoo Mary and Sam McAdoo had a daughter Annie McAdoo who was born March 8, 1839 at Collinstown, near Addman County, Ireland. Annie was my gg grandmother. She is the earliest date that I have found as far as years goes. When she died Anna came to marry him and raise his children. There wa a brother left behind in Ireland when Arthur came here. Have you looked into the link between the Kyle's and their Mc Causland cousins to the c an Buchanan? I thought it interesting that your husband is both Kyle and Buchanan. |

Buchanan. We have very limited information on Benj. We know he married Mary Jane (Jenny) Ray in Franklin County, Tn in 1872. On the 1880 census Mary Jane Buchanan is listed with three children, Mintee, Ollie, and Willie (our grandfather- William Andrew). She is also listed as a widow. The census shows her living with a sister - Susan Poe. We were able to find Ben Buchanan mentioned as a witness in trial - State of Tn vs Poe in 1871. So far we have been able to obtain any other information on Benjamin. If you ever come across any information we would certainly appreciate your help!!! |
