LOOK!

• Oooh, before i forget, go to http://www.cometzone.com/ there are good cursors there. I am TEN years old, and I have my black belt in ATA Karate for Kids taekwondo. I got it on May 20, 2002. I started in March 2000 and just love it. My instructors are Mr. and Master Prejean (sounds like 'praise-yon').... They are sooo nice. We have moved, so we can't go to karate. The school wasn't very far from our house, and we got to go almost every day (except Sunday and Saturday). We learned Songham (sounds like 'song-um') taekwondo, but we also learned lots of values and to be respectful. There are tournaments that we got to go to and earn trophies. I was surprised at how big the trophies were!!!!! Before I left I was finished learning my 1st degree form (putting the touch-ups on it) and learned my shongjeolbong (numchucks) form. That took a lot of work!!! I also had to break three boards at my last testing (a front kick, a round kick and a side kick ... with one being with the opposite leg). Some of the other instructors who had REALLY helped me a lot are Mr. B (sounds like boozh-waa) and Mr. Lege (sounds like lazh-yea!)
• I am being homeschooled by my mom and dad. Right now, I am working on a 4th-6th grade level in most subjects! Mom's my teacher, but Dad helps out too and reads me a Bible story not as often now. My Mom had our baby! Go to her page to see Faith's pictures! Dad had been helping me memorize verses and even whole chapters out of the Bible. For my Wednesday night Bible class, we have learned Psalms 23 ("The Lord is my shepherd"), Psalms 1 ("Blessed is the man ..."), and 1 Corinthians 13 (the "love" chapter). While we have breakfast, Daddy used to talk to me and helps me find "KEY WORDS" in the verses to help me remember better. We also listen to a tape at night (since we're moving, not too much of the time!) so that our minds will be focused on God.
• With my Bible work, we used to do "Our Spiritual Heritage" cards. They are really neat and they teach you all about God's plan. Ask my mom about them. She used them in her Ladies' Bible Class. She is really excited about them. She doesn't sell them, but she can tell you where to get a set! Now the ladies who made OSH have a home Bible study program that is great for families who homeschool. It goes along with the OSH and is called "God is Wise; HE MAKES GREAT PLANS!" We had just started working on it, but I love it. This week's memory verse is...ummmm...oops I don't know because we don't live there anymore!
• I love to read!!!! I like to read all kinds of books: Bible stories, Magic School Bus, Boxcar Children, Encyclopedia Brown, Hank the Cowdog, Happy Hollisters, and sports books by Matthew Christopher!!!). Sometimes I like to read books about real things. My mom got a book about taking care of kittens and another one about your health and what to do if you got a cold or a headache. Those were neat! BUT, I really liked a book my granpa gave me after we helped him put up an electric fence. After Dad helped him put it up, the charger would not work, so we had to go to town and get another one! In the package, there was a book that showed all about how to install it the right way ... you know, where you don't get shocked instead of the cow who's trying to get in the garden?? Well, when we went in the house, I started reading that book. I even brought it to the table when it was time to eat, but they would not let me read it while I was eating. Granpa Whitton let me keep it and bring it home.
  

• I also sometimes like math (well, most of the time). There is a neat computer game that I have called "Math Workshop", and it is fun. There are fraction games on it. Also a neat website that we have found is FUNBRAIN.COM, and there is a really neat game of math baseball. I have learned multiplication and division, too. Did you know there is an easy trick to multiply by nines!!! (Well, there is several tricks ... but one is subtract 1 from the number you are multiplying by 9, and that is the first digit. Then subract that number from 9, and that's the second digit. Like -- 4 X 9 would be 4-1=3 and 9-3=6 ... 3...6 ... 36
  
• I still LOVE pizza and like to go to (there isn't one here)"Ci-Ci's Pizza", (nope, not here)"Fazoli's(sp?)" or to (again, ditto)"Mr. Gatti's". I love to go to (there IS one here)Casa 'Ole. They have great chips and popcorn chicken. There is also a great chinese food place. The food is good and they have a little pond outside where you can watch the fish!
• I haven't gotten to go to the Children's Museum lately, so I don't know what exhibit they have now. They have a lot of things set up for kids to do. Once, they had a rainforest exhibit! It is fun. There is a place you can pretend you are doing the weather on the news! They have a post office, hospital, fire area, grocery store, and lots more!! We always have fun.
• I really like to go bowling and play putt-putt.
• We didn't have a garden again this year. Last year, we had tomatoes (that I say I don't like HEY don't pose as me mom....but Mom hides them in stuff and I think I like it until she tells me they are in there!) and corn (it was really great ... but sometimes it is hard to eat if your tooth is loose!). We also planted sunflowers. They got sooooo tall!!!!!!!!

  
  

• Once I had a "Rainforest" birthday party at my house, after we all met at Putt-Putt and played golf.

  

• Of course, I like to play. Mom says that I have too many toys ... but I really don't think so! I like cars and trucks, but also love to play cards, boardgames (like MONOPOLY - I also got an NFL Monopoly that was cool). I have a Nintendo Pocket Gameboy and USED Color GameBoy(STILL! gotta find the other ColorGB... arrggghh). I have several PLAYSTION1, SNES, GBP, and GBC games (have you ever been to Funcoland???). My favorite computer games are Amazon Trail, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Yukon Trail, Math Worshop, Math Munchers and lots more!
• I love baseball too! I enjoy watching it on TV or going to the sportschannel on the computer and seeing a play-by-play animtion of the game (on the computer you can switch to different games!!!) I am SOOOO glad they didn't go on strike!
• I love to go to hockey games. We LOVED the Lake Charles Ice Pirates. They are great... My dad caught a t-shirt one night for me and a friend had all the players sign the front of the shirt for me! We Want Ice Pirates Back!!!
• Then we had arena football instead .... the Lake Charles Land Sharks. That was fun to go to also. Oh Yeah, I now have NEED FOR SPEED: HOT PURSUIT2
• I love football! I have MD2001 and MD2003! My fave team is the ONE, THE ONLY, TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS(i was born there lol)
