• Robbin H. Manly provided John Grady's death date of 1787 and the nanes of his parents William O'Grady and Anne Barfield. Source: Robbin H. Manly [2001]
• Ed Grady provided John Grady's birth date of 1703 and concurs with a death date of 1787. Ed also identified An Barfield's father as Richard Barfield. He believes her grandparents are probably Richard Barfield and Mary Evans. Richard Barfield's will of 1754 mentions "An Grady". There were several children listed, including Mary, An's sister, who married Anthony Jones.
  An Barfield's grandfather was likely Richard Barfield whose spouse was Mary Evans. His 1728 will mentions his family with the exception of one daughter who appears to have died. Her husband is named as "Wm More".
