Advanced Technology Group, Principal Engineer 4. In this position I must assume the role of project lead or technical lead for various customer accounts. I am assigned to high profile customers to ensure the success of these strategic endeavors. During these projects I must be able to perform the following tasks:

The technical requirements for this position include (taken from the ATG job posting):
5-10 years RDBMS experience, 3-5 years application programming/project management experience. In-depth knowledge of RDBMS, UNIX, "C", "C++", database performance analysis/tuning and object oriented programming. Knowledge of Informix projects (4GL, ESQL/C, OnLine, etc.). CS or Math degree preferred. Solid communications and problem solving skills. Professional image and ability to work independently.

While in this position, I had secured the reputation as the being the database backup and storage management expert at Informix. I have traveled the country giving presentations on how to utilize various storage managers as a mechanism of backing up and restoring databases. I have also designed and implemented many of Informix’s largest customers backup and restore strategies.

Resolution Team Member. Represents one of the top 3 engineers in the 100+ person department whose duties and expectations are to work with high profile customers and develop solutions for their DBA related problems.

January 1993 - Present

Technical Support Engineer III. (Advanced Support Engineer). Provided technical telephone support to Informix customers for the following products: ISQL, 4GL, ESQL/C, ESQL/COBOL, CISAM, Standard Engine, On-line Engine, and On-line Dynamic Server Engine. Provided 'dial-up support' for customers disaster recovery or 'down production' system situations. Designed and provided technical training for other technical support engineers.
August 1992 -	United States Geological Survey
December 1992	Lawrence, Kansas
Software Developer. Helped design and implement the Administrative Information System, an application used to track all the tasks associated with government administration. The work on this project required the use of: UNIX C, curses, ESQL/C and C Shell Script languages to implement system-level commands.
