Welcome to the home of the Seneca Trail C.B.CLUB
The Seneca Trail Citizen's Band Radio Club was formed in late 1973 by a small group of CBer's in the Frankford, Renick WV. area. The meetings were held in homes and fire stations as the group grew. Over the years the members have been involved in many different kinds of public service, from search and rescue to helping the fire dept. get ready for fund raising dinners. Over the years there have been 100s of members, at some points there would be 50-60 in the club at one time.
I have belonged to the Seneca Trail C.B. Club since 1975 and was president for 11 years. We raise money with suppers, shooting matches and about anything we can think of, we then donate it to people in the area that have hit on hard times, be it fire, flood or illness. This is something I'm very happy to have been a part of.
The Renick VFD joined in to help in 06, giving Santa a ride to the party in the new pumper.
At Christmas we pick between 10 and 15 kids that may not have much for Christmas and buy them an outfit of clothing and a small toy, about a week before Christmas we have a party, inviting the kids, Santa shows up to deliver the gifts and talk to the kids, young and old. After the gifts are given out and Santa heads back to the north pole, we make up between 50 and 60 fruit trays for the shut-ins and elderly of the area, everyone takes some to deliver on their way home. It is a very good day in all.
This is the club, this was taken at our Thanksgiving dinner 2005 as you can guess we had been eating again. I think most members were present that day.
