My Mamaw (Nera 'Sanders' Blevins) and Papaw (Wilbur Clarence Blevins), as well as many aunts, uncles, great-grandparents, etc. are buried up there. The e are several existing Blevins family members that still live "a stone's throw" from the Upper Ten Mile Church & the cemetery! I will be checking back to this site OFTEN! I'm also going to inform the rest of my family about it!!! I can tell you that "Mary Virginia Blevins" was the second to youngest daughter of Nera & Wilbur Blevins. She is my Aunt and she was never married, so this name is her "given" name, not a "married" name. We all know her as 'Ginger' Blevins as well! |

Both born in Kenova and Branchland and married in Logan W.VA. Moved to Detroit after WW2. My grandfather was George Washington Blevins (1886-1966) married to Luna Smith. He is burried in Docks Creek Cemetary in Kenova but his death certificate is in Kentucky. Thats where I reach a dead end of the Blevins. I am unable to find where he was born, his parents, or any names of siblings. I'm sure theres a link with all the other Blevins in that area. I'm a member of both the Wayne and Lincoln Co. gen societies. Thanks for the help. |
