In an e-mail posted to the BLEVINS Digest V00#157 dated Oct 4, 2000, Ron Blevins writes the following:
"I concur that it is possible based on naming patterns that Daniel was a
brother of Wells, Nathan and possibly my James who was married to Lydia
Sizemore. Daniel was also closely connected, but not father and I don't know
how connected, to Levi Blevins b. 1779 and William Blevins who married second
Ava Collins. My records (not confirmed by B.B.) of the children of Daniel
and Sarah (unknown) include:

This Daniel is found in multiple census records:
1810 Russell Co, VA tax list with Levi, Nathan, Joseph, James
1820 Scott Co, VA Census with Levi, William and James
1830 Scott Co, VA census age 60-69 with Nathan and James both 30-39, also
in neighboring Russell County are Nathan, Linkhorn and a James 40-49.
1805 and 1807 Ashe County land entries on first Prathers Creek and later
Silas Creek - is this the same Daniel? I (Ron Blevins) tend to think it is,
but B.B. Blevins is not convinced. Since Daniel and Sarah's son James born
1801 was born at Dungannon, Virginia, there is speculation whether he was
ever in Ashe Co, NC.
I believe we may have discussed before that I believe that William b. ca.1793
who married Rhoda Pruitt, was a brother of a Daniel, but I think it (no
proof) to be the Daniel who was married to Elizabeth Bracins. Almost
certainly William was a brother of John S. Blevins who married 1st Nancy
Pruitt and later in life Evaline Carter. Other potential brothers of this
William include Joseph Jr, and Andrew Z. Blevins. Naming patterns for
William's children don't match most Blevins families, coming closest to the
Elisha and Rachel (Osborne) Blevins naming pattern. I believe that the
William and Daniel of the 1820 Ashe census are the two brothers who married
Pruitt sisters."

Daniel Blevins, whose wife was named Lucy, lived and died at or near what is known as the John Salyer place on Rocky Fork, about 1825.
Langhorne Blevins, son of Daniel, lived at Fair Ground place in east end of Wise, in 1860.
