I am Technical Co-ordinator and a lighting designer at the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In my spare time I freelance professionally as a I.A.T.S.E. lighting technician and stage hand at the local road house the Chrysler Theatre.
I was born at an Air Force base in PA in 1955. My Dad died two months later so we moved to Gainesville FL. I grew up there (sold cokes at the Gator games) until I left for military school in 1970. I was at the Sewanee Academy for four years after which I headed to Florida Southern College. While there I did lights for the college road house and studied drama. God I hated acting. It was during this time I made one of those fork in the road decisions. I turned down an offer to do lights touring Florida with a little bar band called Tom Petty and the Heart Throbs (no they weren't the Heartbreakers yet). After college I worked in Atlanta for a while then went to Wayne State University Hilberry Theatre and got my MFA in Scenic Design. It was at Wayne I met Jules who introduced me to the UofW and Canada. I took a part time job here then got married, bought a car, had kids , bought a house, and I'm still here.
