I have been mesmerized by this band since I first heard them back in 1993 on the radio with "Today". Since I have been collecting what I can get ahold of that has anything to do with them. Currently looking for a bootleg of the below Nashville show. If anyone has one, PLEASE e-mail me. I grew up in a small town in N. Alabama and finally got to see the Pumpkins once back on Nov 20, 1996, in Nashville, TN after traveling for 3 hours to see them.
I'll never forget that night, it was amazing! They are all truely very talented and warm individuals and I will always be sad about their demise. However, the spirit lives on and strong through the fans, and Billy still keeps in touch very often. D'Arcy has her own band. The pumpkins made a last album and only printed a few copies, SPIFC.org dubbed them and I have two of those copies!!!! As for me, my Smashing Pumpkins spirit still lives strong but I have grown up alot since that first day in 1993, The music will always bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye at the same time. It takes alot for a band to be able to do that with practically every song, connecting with their fans to the point that you feel you know what the band is saying.
