This site is dedicated to encouraging the preservation of the"Brier Hill"cemetery as well as the preservation of Poorhouse/Infirmary Records & Early Historical Structures. With your help I want to encourage that not only is the cemetery land set aside, but also that the cemetery is cleaned out, fenced, and maintained in the future, all possibilities for adaptable reuse of the early poorhouse structures are thoroughly investigated and pursued, that a thorough effort is made to locate and make accessible to the public the record of the names of those buried in "Brier Hill, along with any and all other records pertaining to the the Dutchess County Poorhouse/Almshouse.
