Almost everyone has heard of US Route 66 that once ran from Chicago, Illinois, to Santa Monica, California. It was so popular that there was a song or two written about it. However, its importance was displaced by the interstate system, so certain sections were losing their "Route 66" status. By 1984, the entire highway was decommissioned.
This site is about another "Route 66", this one being in Ohio. Ohio State Route 66 runs from Piqua in Miami County to Fayette in Fulton County. The Dayton Daily News even wrote an article about it in late 1997 or early 1998.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my guided tour of Ohio State Route 66!
