I'm proud to see that someone, other than myself and a few others in the state of Maine, are bound by their hearts to continue the fight for our POW-MIA's. A friend of mine named Carl Murphy and I make hand-made wood n Maine Remembers plaques. We do this on our own and donate them to the towns that are listed as homes of a POW-MIA in Maine. At the moment, there is one at the POW-MIA Rememberance Bridge in Jay and one in the City Hall in Eastport, Maine. There is also POW-MIA plaque on the Mess Deck of the USS Donald Cook DDG75 that was commissioned December 4, 1998 at 1300 hours our time in Philadelphia, PA. which I attended and presented another hand-made plaque to Mrs. Laurette Cook, widow of Col. Donald Cook. I ha e also been POW-MIA Chairman of VFW Post 11299 in Perry, Maine and District 3 since 1992 and will continue to do my job until the Lord above takes me away.
