Recently we have made some breakthroughs and have found our missing links this about 99.9% probability as of 2-26-2000.

The following is the new information that we believe to be accurate up to 99.9%. The information was provided by Milton Crum mcrum@ee.net. I'm sure the information Milton provided is 100% accurate, our 99.9% comes in where we are not sure if Milton's John is our John. Below I will lay out the line and explain why we are almost sure this is our line.

Adam Crum b. 1756 d. 1851 m. Barbara Horne. Adam was in the Revolutionary War and in his Abstract states he was born in Augusta Co. VA and is of German parentage. There is some thought that he was actually born in PA. His wife Barbara Horne was born in PA.

Where was Adam over the years? Well according to census records in 1810 & 1820 state he was in Floyd Co. KY. The next census record found mentioning Adam was for 1850 Wayne Co. WVA listing Adam being 80 born in PA and being blind. Barbara was also with him at age 75. The abstract mentioned above was filed for in 1834 in Lawrence Co. KY.

John Crum b. 1858 d. 1884 John married Missouri A. Barber. Missouri was the daughter of John T. and Nancy (Clay) Barber. John T. Barber was the son of Pleasant Barber and Jane Crain. Our family records show Nancy's mother's name was Honor Harper and was an escaped Indian girl and the Indians came back and killed her when Nancy was a child.

**The reason we believe this to be the same John is that according to census records, Reuben Crum married Priscilla Mutters and they had a son, John b. 1858. We have the marriage certificate for John when he married Missouri Barber in 1879, stating they married in the home of Priscilla Crum and that John was 21, making him born in 1858. This marriage took place in Lawrence Co. Ky

John Crum and Missouri Barber had several children: (John died when his children were quite small and Missouri married Lorenzo Dow McCormac Oct. 29th 1885). Missouri died about 1909.
