Song In My Dreams, Pt 2

I was there, resting in a field of Wild Freesia and Dandelions, fresh perfumes of nature making love to my senses.  Among the tiny blue and yellow petals of flowers grew magical four leaf clovers.  Afraid to destroy earth`s blanket, I slowly stood up as a shadow was cast over the field.  I looked up and watched a brilliant sun make its way from behind the fluffy cotton white clouds.  I felt the rays on my face and smiled as my cheeks became warm.  Had I been here before?  Then I heard it, the music weaving softly through the air, faintly at first but getting louder every moment.  I began walking towards it slowly, afraid you would run away from me again.  I followed a small newly made path in the grass when I heard the sound of water on water.  I looked up to find a waterfall pouring itself into a crystalline lake below it. I saw you then, swimming in the water.  As you surfaced your song ended and for the first time you were real.  Droplets rolling off your hair and face onto your bare chest, you smiled at me a smile of a thousand angels.  You went back under and swam away from me.  I removed my clothing and stepped into the water carefully.  Warm as the air above it, I submerged myself and swam to where you had been just a moment ago.  I looked around for you but didn`t find you.  Then I felt your hands on my back as you came up behind me.  With one hand on my back you brought the other one around to my lips.  I kissed each one of your fingers then closed my eyes as your finger trailed down my face, onto my neck.  From my neck your hand traveled down my chest and onto my stomach.  You then pulled me down under and swam with me through the crystal waters.  You looked back and smiled at me as you made your way more easily than any person could.  After a while we swam back to the small path.  We left our clothing and walked back onto the field.  In the middle of the field you held me.  We laid ourselves under the sun, and I closed my eyes, wishing to remember every sound of the birds and the silent wind, trying to record every scent of each flower, plant, and fruit.  I opened my eyes to take in the sight of you, afraid you might not be there, but there you were, smiling at me.  You told me to close my eyes.  I did.  You whispered for me to sleep.  As I was falling away I heard you tell me that we were not ready for each other yet, that it was not time, but that soon you would find me.  That you were waiting for me as I was waiting for you and that we would not wait forever.  You told me you loved me, and to keep walking and looking for you.  You kissed my forehead, and I knew you would be leaving.  I tried to open my eyes but couldn`t.  I felt myself crying, and at that moment I knew I was alone.  I opened my eyes and I was alone again on the dark unlit path with barren trees and cold dirt.  I had let your song take me away again, and now I was standing alone after having touched you.  A single tear dropped from my right eye.  I wiped it away and it was then I felt the flower behind my ear.  A small Freesia placed gently behind my ear.  And I remembered your words.  I walk alone waiting until the day when I hear your music once again.
