The elements inspire. The mind
stirs. And the imagination creates art in clay.
It is in the fluid world of clay
that startling ideas come to life, giving pottery a new dimension - is
it art or is it sclupture?
"Clay has a very sensual magical
quality about it. It responds to every single touch, breathing life into
the expression of the figures, making you want to go on and on to bring
some form or the other to life. This 'near organic' medium along with the
dynamism of the'turning wheel' makes the process of creation all the more
dynamic. The concept for each pot is sketched on paper first and then translated
to clay. Each piece, once the idea is conceived, takes twenty days to complete."
Passion in its various forms is
a favourite theme. Quite a few of their works depict the man-woman relationship
and seek to capture 'the warm glow that washes the face almost as if it
were illuminated from within'. We have also experimented a lot with surface
textures and finishes while trying to maintain the earthiness of the medium.
Some of the urns look like raw metallic pieces while others have a wood
finish. Each creation being unique precludes the idea of mass production.
The sizes of the pots range from eight inches to as much as six feet. The
emphasis is always on the visual elegance.
Wall murals, urns, planters, reflecting
creativity at its highest. A tribute to the beauty and majesty of The Good
