Hi There! I'm wondering (hoping) if someone can provide info on

ordering the

soundtrack for HC? I've looked all over, and am aware it's an import,

but

have had no luck in finding a retailer. I look forward to being on this

list.

Hello. Unfortunately I had these same problems trying to find it.

After much searching I found it at cdeurope.com but it was ungodly

high priced...so i went elsewhere and even tried emailing the place that

distributed it (or made it or whatever) and they said that they no

longer

make it. Finally at gregg's music world i found the cassette.

But i'd love info too on the cd if anyone has it.

Hi Creatures!

I have the HC's mexican release in videotape. Even though I hate

pan&scan

version, I found that this one is fairly well done. For example, you

can

see Pauline to be the last one to be seated when Juliete is introduced

to

the class. Also, you can see the toast in Pauline's hand. When The

Ones

That I worship is telled, you see Juliette's eyes complete in one shot.

I found at a video store the US version and I bought it. I found some

differences! In my opinion, the US version has a lousy pan&scan and it

missed many important or interesting scenes!

Thanks for reading

José Antonio

Then it's full-frame not p&s. Full-frame actually shows more of the

picture than widescreen. Of course one should still prefer the

widescreen cut as it's the way the director wants you to see the film.

Hey all Canadian Creatures!

Monday is a "I'm sick of Jean Day" on canadian TV

In addition to appearing on "Trend Spotting" on Life channel, I'll be

making another CBC Midday appearance at noon. This time I'll be talking

about the Quebec Box-Office sensation that is "Les Boys". It's a pair

of

formulaic hockey movies that have grossed over $10 million.

Gosh! Difficult one this is! Hmmm...although I find HC the best film of

the three, when it comes to Kate's performance this is my list:

1. Jude

2. Heavenly Creatures

3. Sense and Sensibility

<<<<<<<<<

Completely agree about HC being the better film, but Kate's

performance being best in Jude. My list (of Kate's performances):

1. Jude

2. Heavenly Creatures

3. Hamlet / S&S

Jane

3)titanic

of course, i've only seen jude and s&s once, so another viewing of each

Hi Creatures,

=20

My list of Kate films:

=20

1. Jude

2. Heavenly Creatures/Sense and Sensibility (sorry, but you're asking

me =

to choose between my children here... err so to speak ;)

3. Hamlet

4. Titanic

5. A Kid in King Arthur's Court.

=20

This reminds me, I haven't watched any of these Winslet films for some =

time. But at the moment I am most likely to see Jude since I just =

finished a paper on it for my lit class and have been keeping myself =

away from it in order not to mix the contends or the two.

Ah well, judging from Empire Magazine it looks like we won't have to =

wait too long for "Hideous Kinky" set to open in Britain on Feb 5th :)

Just for the record my list of not Kate films:

1. Un Coeur En Hiver

2. Nelly et Monsieur Arnaud

3. La Double Vie de Veronique

4. Trois Couleurs Rouge

5. Jean de Florette/Manon Des Sources.

I guess I'm kinda into French films atm ;) Yes, Daniel Auteuil rules.

It's a documentary about New Zealand cinema, hosted by Sam Neill, I saw

it today on Bravo. It's very interesting, and it has lots of HC

references.

First, it shows the "How Much is That Doggy on the Window" scene from

the Grail. There's also part of the "Third Man" scene (Jean, you're

everywhere) and Sam Neill's voiceover in the blue bathtub sequence

mentions HC as the "best NZ film ever made" (as if we didn't know about

that already...). There's a brief scene with him on today's Ilam.

Has anybody seen this?

:*

Saw HC again yesterday. Seeing it just helps to reinforce the

curiousity and admiration I have of the film. Not to mention the fact

that this *is* my favourite film and I doubt that any other could move

me as much. The murder scene, each new time I see it, seems to become

much more gruesome and violet. Watched it through without turning away

or closing my eyes. Scares me and frightens me because the film is so

bizarre - because it is real. Melanie Lynskey is perhaps the most

brilliant actress there is and I don't understand why she hasn't been

in many more films since HC was recorded. Can't people see talent

anymore??? And also Kate.. well Kate is Kate.

As I usually do, I shall wait another few weeks before watching it

again. And then I'm sure that it shall hit as much it did the first

time I saw it and the many times I have seen it since April of last

year.

Jean, don't you feel pretty special being in one of the most brilliant

films ever made? I mean, who cares if Harrison Ford has been in nearly

all of the films in the list of the most grossing films ever made? You

are in Heavenly Creatures god damn it! And you did a very fine job at

that. If I saw you on the street I am not sure whether I would say

great job Jean, or scream and run away. You scared me, you know? *G*

That was very well said, I agree with you 110%

HC is one of the few films that makes you think, and takes you through a

range of emotions...everything from joy and happiness, to fear and

terror. It's great entertainment, and a brilliant job was done by all.

But then you think it's all real, and what it possibly could have been

to be one of the people involved. To think that these aren't characters

imagined by a writer somewhere...they were like you and I. It's so

amazing, yet so sad and disturbing at the same time. (sheesh, it's

penetrated my brain..."how odd, yet how pleasing"...err nevermind, I

need sleep)

But hey, I'm preaching to the choir ;)

I could go on forever about HC...

Take Care,

Ryan Hrabec.

Hi fellow creatures!

I usually receive a lot of emails and sometimes I get overloaded. I'm

subscribed to the Kate Winslet Fan Club News Letter, and it's quite

interesting what you can find there. The following was in the letter

for november (where her marriage was announced and the premiere of HK)

but I didn't read this article about HC until today!! Take a peek:

Excuse the funny characters but I'm tired and I want to sleep. Hope you

like it :)

*************************************

IV. OTHER NOTES OF INTEREST

*************************************

An Excellent Forecast of Kateís Future?: A

Flashback to 1995!

There have been lots of articles written about Kate

Winslet since her first film appearance in ìHeavenly

Creaturesî in 1995. We recently discovered one

written by Celia Duncan entitled ìIce Maidenî and

published in early 1995. Duncan noted that scripts

had ìstarted crowding Kateís doormatsî after the

release of ìHeavenly Creaturesî such as ìRomeo

and Julietî (co-starrring Leonardo DiCaprio -- heard

of him?).

While Duncan and Kate were sitting there talking for

the interview, a motorcycle courier arrived with three

scripts for Kate to read -- one of them being Emma

Thompsonís ìSense and Sensibilityî. What a

moment to witness in Kate Winsletís life.

Kate pointed out to the writer during their talk

regarding her character in ìHeavenly Creaturesî --

ìIf I made it to Hollywood, it would be Julietís

dream come true. Thatís really what the girls wanted

to do,î she said.

And Kate ends the interview by saying, ìWho

knows? Maybe Hollywood will happen.î

Oh yeah, Kate! And weíre all glad it happened to

you. No one deserves it more.

Thanks for reading dear creatures

Jose Antonio

I don't know if it's in a book, but I can send an attachment of it to
you if
you want. Also, a lot of other people on the this list have it. But if
someone does know that there is a book of it, let me know!
Lauren

Thank you very much for offering, but I do have it already (the
download of
the script). I was just wondering if they had anything like the Sense
and
Sensibility Screenplay and diaries, or Titanic Illustrated Screenplay???
