PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Petris Technology Inc. (Dec. 99-Present)
- Promoted to Development Manager to manage a group of developers and provide technical expertise to the company. Set directions for technology use and development. Served as architect and technical advisor to multiple projects. Developed applications based on Web search technologies for searching documents. Designed and developed a Java applet based product that allows a user to perform graphical analysis on any large volume of data. Designed and developed an intranet based well query system that allows oil companies to manage and track the performance of their assets. Designed and developed an E-commerce based web site to serve as an exchange for transacting oil & gas related properties between businesses. Technologies used included Java, JSP/Servlets, JavaBeans, Haht Application Server, IIS, Tomcat, Verity, WebLogic, Oracle, MS SQL Server, JDBC, XML, XSL, DHTML, and JavaScript.
Shell Services International (Mar. 97-Dec. 99)

Designed and developed an intranet based medical system for Shell's Corporate
Medical department using Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and
SQL Server database. Designed and developed several programs in Visual Basic to
allow sales people to obtain quotes against an Access database and to reconcile
data against a SQL Server database using a Windows Explorer like interface.
Designed and developed several Web based Knowledge Management systems using
Microsoft ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, Java, SQL Server and Access databases.
Served as technical lead on several projects.

Implemented the rollout of a Remote Access solution using Microsoft RAS and
Citrix Winframe for Shell's Exploration and Production company in New Orleans.
Provided documentation using static HTML on the corporate Intranet. Designed and
developed a C program to query the number of RAS connections for Windows 9x and
Windows NT systems for use in Shell's enterprise login script to detect remote
connections. Developed PERL scripts to automate the collection of all RAS server
statistics and post the statistics to Web servers.
Schlumberger (Dec. 96-Jun 97)

Designed and developed several programs (Windows EXE & DLL) for Windows 9x and
Windows NT to automate the task of dialing into a RAS Server, connect to a
network drive, and then transfer files using FTP between the RAS Server and the
client PC.
Tenneco Energy (Jun. 96-Mar. 97)

Setup, configured, and administered the rollout of Tenneco's corporate Windows
NT network. Assembled and installed Windows NT Server on Compaq Prosignia and
Proliant Servers. Consulted on domain architecture, trust relationships, DHCP/WINS,
and domain browsing issues. Established a Disaster Recovery plan and provided
training to Tenneco's support staff. Designed and developed intranet based
applications to query Microsoft SQL Server using ODBC to retrieve information
gathered from SMS to present on the intranet.
Garden Ridge Pottery (Oct. 95-Jun. 96)

Setup, configured, and administered the corporate Windows NT network.
Implemented the rollout of Microsoft SMS for the administration of the corporate
network. Designed and implemented the corporate Intranet. Provided training for
the corporate staff, and performed daily analysis, optimization, and resolution
of network problems. Technologies used included Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL
Server, Microsoft DNS, DHCP/WINS, ODBC, Informix Servers, PERL, CGI, and HTML.
FoxMeyer (Aug. 95-Oct. 95)

Designed and developed a client/server program (Windows DLL and Unix service
daemon) to encrypt/decrypt data for Winsock compliant applications using the
Kerberos API. Technologies used included Visual C++, Kerberos, Windows DLLs, and
Winsock.
Shell Oil Company (Jan. 89-Jul. 95)

Designed and developed the infrastructure for Shell's Remote LAN Access network
using Windows NT RAS. Developed a socket based TCP/IP client/server program as a
32-bit Windows DLL to perform file transfer, remote execution, and interprocess
communication from Windows NT to a wide variety of heterogeneous platforms,
including UNIX, VM/CMS, MVS, and VAX/VMS. Developed a 32-bit Windows based
installation program to register the TCP/IP server program as a service under
Windows NT and to install all appropriate binaries. Supported and enhanced a
socket based TCP/IP client/server program that performs file transfer, remote
execution, and interprocess communication for several platforms, including UNIX,
VM/CMS, MVS, and VAX/VMS. Designed and developed a Bourne shell program to
gather SNMP statistics on Shell's backbone routers for network management and
monitoring. Setup and administered a Windows NT Server TCP/IP network to
interoperate with a Netware File Server, a Netware client PC, and a SCO UNIX
server.

Designed and developed a portable UNIX Job Control System using Bourne shell to
manage batch jobs on the nCUBE2 Supercomputer. Designed and developed a C++
program to parse through run decks and establish the environment for batch jobs
to run on the nCUBE2 Supercomputer.
