This 9th annual event pays tribute to the people, arts and culture of Hawai'i. Experience the Hawaiian culture through demonstrations in hula and chant, workshops in traditional and contemporary Hawaiian art, and one-on-one interaction with local Village Gallery artists. A traditional Hawaiian lu'au and show produced by Maui's na kumu hula and a special celebration concert by renowned Hawaiian musicians are also featured.

What: IN CELEBRATION OF CANOES CULTURAL EVENT
Hawai'i's rich heritage is honored with the voyaging canoe that united all of Polynesia. Cultural delegations and master canoe carvers from Pacific Island nations carve canoes from wood logs. Featuring a traditional welcome ceremony, parade, cultural arts demonstrations, big-name Hawaiian musical performances, and a finale that includes a canoe launching and celebration lu'au.
