What a bunch.  This is our next generation of teamsters.  This was taken at a Youth Clinic in June 1998.  As you can see they display their blue ribbons very well.  They were judged on braiding tails (long and docked), manes, driving in a cart, judging, and showmanship.  In the picture left to right are K, Neil Crosby, Alicia Walker, Missy, Kate Waterhouse and Joshua Walker.  These juniors competed against each other in shows all season and did a great job.  NEW ENGLAND look out, in a few years, they're coming to get us.
 

Here's Kate (my daughter) riding Sonny (Clyde/Appy cross) at the Norlands Living Farm in Livermore Falls, Maine.  This class was "ride a draft horse".  You had to go thru the cones, pick up a coat, back thru 4 cones, weave in and out thru 5 cones and then put the coat back.  Of course this was all timed.  This horse was ridden by his owner Pete Stratton, Kate and Alicia Walker.  He sure got his workout that day.  Also during the day they had a twitch & scoot and halter classes.  Standing to the right side is Sandy Taylor-Coughlin the judge.
