Since 1988 each summer season I traveled across the huge territory of the USSR. I visited numerous remote sites, to collect the Lepidoptera specimens necessary for my studies.

Almost in the each expedition I had a photo-camera along and took a lot of photographs. My brother Yevgeniy, who accompanied me in expeditions of 1994 and 1995 years, is the experienced amateur photographer. He took many photographs in that trips. Before 1994 we used to photograph on the color slide films. I have about 1000 color slides after those years. This is a pity, but these pictures are unavailable for the digitizing right now, as nobody of my friends has the slide scanner. Since 1994, when Kodak, Fuji, and others have expanded their photo-processing mini-labs within the Russia, first my brother, then me - we have switched to use the color negative films to get photoprints from those negatives. Thus I can scan our photoprints on the common flatbed scanner in my friend's office and share our views of the beautiful undisturbed wildlife of Russia with the everybody!
