My brief profile
I'm interested in translating technical documents from English to Japanese and vice versa. I passed the Technical English Proficiency Test which was carried out in December, 1997 by Japan Society for Technical Communication authorized by the Ministry of Education.
I was born in Kagoshima City. Received Ph. D. (Chemical Engineering) from Tokyo Institute of Technology. Soon afterwards, I visited the U.S. and continued my research at K-State and UT Austin for two years before my return to Japan. I presently work for a boiler company where I have been responsible for R&D in energy technologies including a new type of boiler based on 'Fluidized Bed'. Thanks to the R&D work somewhat in connection with companies overseas, I enjoyed visiting Sweden, Finland, Lapland, UK, Germany, Australia, not to mention the U.S. Because of this , I became interested in languages, particulary in the English language.
My diary includes a variety of recent topics including those from Hiroshima, Japan (I presently live in Hiroshima City, Japan.) You can look at live views of Hiroshima Harbor.
