Our Operations:

Sow & Harvest Consulting Services started in the year 2004 to provide consultancy services to employers in the areas of industrial relations and organizational development. 

We are a very small setup designed to provide a personal touch to the way we serve. Our clients are mainly multinational companies mainly from the manufacturing sector. We also have local companies and non-manufacturing multi-national companies on our client list. 
 

Our Services: 

We mainly provide training which are claimable under HRDF's SBL (Skim Bantuan Latihan) scheme.  Our programs are customized to the customer's specific needs. 

In addition, we provide consultancy services in industrial relations and discipline management, salary and benefits management as well as organizational development.

The Partners

Sow & Harvest Consulting Services has 2 full partners.  Chan Wang Tak is the principal consulting partner.  The Administrative Partner is Chan Beng Lay

 Wang Tak has in total more than 30 years experience in Human Resource Management.  He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Lincolnshire, UK.  His career started in 1973 in the then Carter Semiconductor Sdn Bhd which he served for 10 years, 5 of which as Human Resource Manager.

He also served in Super Kinta Departmental Store for 6 years as its Human Resource Manager, before being promoted to the position as Group Human Resource Manager in the holding company, Georgetown Holdings Bhd.

Between 1992 - 1995, he served as a Compensations Consultant with Management Information Services servicing multinational companies in job evaluation, job grading, salary analysis and constructing salary systems.  Following that between 1995 - 2001, he took up partnership in JBN Associates Sdn Bhd and launched into training consultancy, setting up training systems and curriculums for multinationals that seek to develop their human capital.  When the partnership broke up in 2001, Wang Tak went on to set up Sow & Harvest Consulting which continues to serve a select and satisfied client base.  Wang Tak conducts training in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and occasionally in Chinese languages

Beng Lay returned from Canada with a degree in Adminstration.  She served in Super Kinta Departmental Store Ipoh for many years, heading its Human Resource Department until the year 1995.  She managed a child training and education centre for several years and besides which, she has experience conducting programs in Chinese.  However, much of her work is providing customer support services presently.

Smart Partnerships

Sow & Harvest Consulting does not pretend to possess all the expertise in every area of HR Management.  For this reason, we network with a team of well qualified and experienced consultants and jointly work to ensure that clients expectations are always met.  Foremost within our network are Mazlan Dato Seri Muhammad, and Dr Jim Tor, Michael Cheng and Edward Ong - all experts in their own specific areas.
