To: All Club Presidents – Eastern Canada and the Caribbean District From: DLG Trevor C. Dunn – Division 23 Date: 1999, April 14 Subject: Candidacy for 1999/2000 Governor Elect – EC&C District
I deem it an honour to be put forward by my club and my division as a candidate for the office of EC&C District Governor Elect for the year 1999/2000.
As a candidate, I am truly motivated by this opportunity to broaden my Kiwanis experience and to enhance and expand Kiwanis in the EC&C District while strengthening existing clubs and divisions, and giving greater meaning to our Kiwanis Service and Fellowship. I also wish to continue the present emphasis on growth and development in our Sponsored Youth Clubs.
Having benefited from Kiwanis Training, Exposure and Participation over the last fourteen (14) years, I have found each level of my Kiwanis involvement more challenging and enjoyable. I look forward to sharing this Kiwanis Experience at the District and International levels as the EC&C District Governor Elect for 1999/2000.
If elected, I will lead with wisdom and foresight, with a blend of enthusiasm and spirited discussions, thus enhancing the growth and vibrancy of this dynamic district. I am also excited at the possibility of being the (Jamaican) Governor presiding over the 2001 District Convention in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and leading this dynamic Kiwanis District towards challenging New Goals at the start of the new millennium.
I therefore seek your club’s support for my candidacy as your delegates prepare for the upcoming District Convention in Barbados during 1999 May 19-23.
Yours in Kiwanis Service,
DLG Trevor C. Dunn
