My educational journey

hit the main highway when I graduated from Union City Area High School in May of 1995.

Then, it was off to the Rock -- Slippery Rock University of Pa.

I began my studies in Athletic Training. When I hit a road block on that highway, I switched destinations to secondary education/English. I know, quite a detour.

Unfortunately, the scenery wasn't what I had in mind, so I took another turn on the interstate of higher education towards professional writing.

Yes, finally, (I hope) I have chosen the direction with the least bit of potholes. I will end my classroom experience in December of 1999, and begin my internship in January on an avenue towards photojournalism.

It's a beautiful stretch of road before me, and I am very excited to get rolling down the highway.
