My name is Dallas Cannon. I'm a small business owner, who started a small engine repair business about 8 years ago. My business is based in Mission, British Columbia ,Canada., and over the years I've learned a few things that I'd like to share with you readers, so here is a little about me and what I do. I have approximately 20 years experience in this field with extensive knowledge of most makes of outdoor power equipment. I service and repair all makes and models of outdoor power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, tractors, chainsaws and pretty much all 2 and 4 stroke engines, My interests include: classic hotrods, 80's music, the outdoors ,some crafts, and of course fixing small engine equipment I invite you to send any questions or comments you may have about my page, I also invite any questions or comments you may have about your own outdoor power equipment. I prefer the questions to be sent via e-mail, and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. Spring Time Alright folks, the time has come to start mowing the lawn again, (yes I know, you can hardly wait). Check to make sure the engine has oil in it and add fresh fuel to the tank (don't use last season's). The mower should start on the first (well, maybe second) pull. If it doesn't, then you should have the machine serviced by a professional small engine mechanic, such as myself. Also check to make sure the blade is sharp for that healthy looking lawn. The blade should be re-sharpened every 25 hours of operation. After a few hours of manual labour, your lawn will be freshly cut and will thank you for it later. If you bag your clippings, try to start a compost in your garden unless you have curbside recycling, any little thing we can do to save the enviroment would be a good thing for the future HAPPY MOWING Fall and Winter Season When you are ready to put the equipment away for the winter, other than the ones you will be using in the winter such as snowblowers.. You should drain any remaining fuel out or run the machine dry.. remove the spark plug and give a light squirt of oil into the cylinder and re-install the plug loosely,, turn engine over a few times to distribute the oil in the cylinder,, also another good idea is to add a small engine fuel conditioner to the tank as this will help keep any remaining fuel in the carb fresh for the spring.. once the engine is prepared then clean the unit,, scrape off old grass etc. ,, this will prevent rusting from moldy wet grass.. If you have any winter equipment then now would also be a good time to make sure there serviced and running well.. as well as generators , snowblowers and anything else you may need, Again if you have any questions , just e-mail me and I'll be happy to answer them.. Thanks again for visiting my page, come back soon I also urge you to visit the link on the bottom of the page to the tiger foundation. Tigers in the world are becoming extinct..
