The real reason (no joke) is that if Saddam manages to get enough missles and weapons of mass destruction that he thinks he can wipe out Israel, and then is foolish enough to actually attack them, Israel will attack Iraq with nuclear weapons, thus thrusting the entire region (and possibly the world) into war. Better to stop Saddam in Iraq before he does something stupid. |
