MY HEROES!

I have a few heroes I admit!

United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has a voice that excudes calmness and confidence in what he is doing.  I believe that he is a role model for foreign ministers and politicans seeking to be statespeople, in approaching situations of conflict with firmness yet seeking to always do the hard work in negotiating and uphold the non-partisan position of the UN as a truly international force.  I also see Annan as a role model for other men.

Australian Democrats Senator Natasha Stott-Despoja is not only good looking, but also a nice person.  I like to think she will be a leader for years to come, that's if Australia's society of knockers don't get to her and discourage her too much to leave for the private sector where she could obviously command a good salary if she wanted too.  I think Despoja is an icon for younger Australians wanting to take politics more seriously, and her role with a minority Senate party makes her powerful in ways that maybe some younger Australians may not realise.  The democrats recently made the Australian Government review their harsh Goods and Services Tax on 'basic foods', and Despoja has been outspoken in her strong views against a GST.
