My team was always the Pittsburgh Steelers from Junior High School days. When Kevin Greene came to the Steelers in April of 1993, I saw something in him that I had learned in that side yard. Passion for the game. He seemed so intense and dedicated to the game, and looked like he just plain old loved playing. It was like seeing a kindred spirit.
Anyone who knows me, my family, internet and real life friends, all know just about my favorite topic is Kevin Greene. When he left the Steelers for Carolina I was distraught. Having always had the attitude that you stick by your team, I didn't know what to think. But I came to the conclusion, oh what the heck, now I'll have two favorite teams. :)
We won't discuss the the soujourn to San Fransisco ok? And I won't bore you with Kevin Greene stats either, you can look those up at any of the sport sites on the net. *Just a note: He is currently leading the league in sacks again. :)
What follows is the story of every football fan's dream. Getting to meet thier idol. Oh, complete with pics too!
RETIREMENT NOTE: *Thursday January 27, 2000* A special heartfelt Thank You to Kevin for 15 great years. You've really made football so much more enjoyable for myself and all of your fans. Good Luck to you and your family with your future. You will be missed by us all. Paula*
