You have entered the realm of Ebony Unicorn--and it seems as if you've always been here. This beautiful land is filled with crip, green grass, blue skies and sparkling streams. But as the night falls, the most beautiful spectacle of all prevales. Just over the tops of the green rolling hills you can see that in the twilight dazzling lights begin to shine. You watch as hazy shades of purple and blue begin to form, and you can tell by this time that this is the Aurora Borrealis, or "the northern lights." You can just barely make out a shape forming on the horizon, and it seems to be getting closer. It takes you a while before you realize that the galloping shape is really a great black unicorn. Finally, she lands, and you wonder how she flew without any wings. She walks slowly yet confidently to you, and makes not a sound as she steps through the grass. Now she is right in front of you, and you can really make out her features. She is pure black. Her mane and tail are black as well, and they sparkle and shine so that you think they must have tiny bits of the night stars in them. A glittering spiraled saphire horn protrudes from the center of her forehead, and it looks so fragile that it would shatter like delicate blue glass; but it would not. Her eyes are a deep saphire blue as well, and you think that if you stared at them long enough you would get lost inside them. She has dainty little cloven hooves that seem to be made of amethyst. Her body shape is very sleek and thin and she is a little smaller than a horse; more like a deer really. In fact, she looks very much like a deer. Then, she suddenly speaks to you.
"Welcome to the Enchanted Meadows," she says, "these are all my friends." You look around you and see that the field is filled with all kinds of unicorns.
"You have been chosen to take care of one of these unicorns. The Enchanted Meadows are slowly being discovered by man and we are starting to be hunted. We must find safe homes for all of them." You nod in agreement and look around.
