My job

I am a Child Life Specialist. Child Life Specialist work with the pediatric populations in hospitals, rehabs and other pediatric settings. It is our job to make being in the hospital a little easier and, hopefully less scary. We explain what the procedures are, and attempt to distract patients and make all procedures as painless as possible. We also provide recreational/theraputic activities, maintain playrooms on the inpatients floors and work with various specialty and outpatient clinics.
