This is a page made up of protoculture
and is all about Robotech which is my most favorite cartoon in the world.

When three unrelated Japanese cartoons were combined by Carl Macek in 1985, Robotech was born. The three cartoons where Robotech was based on were Super Dimensional Fortress Macross (The Macross Saga), Super Dimensional Calvary Southern Cross (The Robotech Masters), and Genesis Climber Mospaeda (The New Generation).

"In the year 1999, high above Macross Island in the South Pacific, a phenomenal event occurred in the skies which altered the course of human history." 
That phenomenal event was when a large battle fortress, crashed on Earth. It crashed when there was a war, which appeared to be World War III. It was stopped because all the attention of all the people in the world was drawn to the alien ship. While the Earth's best scientists, and technicians, the military included, worked on the battle cruiser, a city quickly grew around it. A city called Macross. After ten years, the battle cruiser was finally fully repaired, and they called it the SDF-1 (Super Dimensional Fortress-1). They decided it could be used as a weapon for military purposes which is why the soldiers, freshly graduated from military school were the ones who were supposed to handle it. They also developed veritechs and other mecha for battle. When the day they were to show it to the public came, the SDF-1 mysteriously started to activate it's main gun, without any of it's crew shutting on it's power. When the main gun fired, they discovered it hit two alien vessels in space. The captain Henry Gloval realized it was a "boobytrap" the aliens (who used to own SDF-1) set to detect and destroy their enemy, and when they fired on the foreign vessels, they had declared war.
On that same day, one of the commanders, Roy Fokker invited his old friend to see the new and improved battle cruiser. His friend, Rick Hunter found himself in one of the veritechs (fighter planes) when Commander Fokker got an order. The commander on the bridge, Lisa Hayes thought that Rick was also a fighter pilot, and ordered him to battle. Rick, thinking he had no other choice, tried to fly the veritech, but ended up crashing into the buildings of Macross City, after making the veritech transform into something like a giant robot, which was unlike anything they've ever seen before.
And that was the start of Robotech. Throughout the series, the characters learned to love, hope, and face the challenges in life. They experienced a life with war, yet still filled with happiness.
