Okay. This must be the nth time I've changed the appearance of this page. Not that anyone would notice. Nobody goes here anyway. And I know nobody cares about who I am and what I like, but since most pages have something like this anyway, I decided not to be different. I mean, why break the tradition? Besides, if you don't want to know about me, then go away. It's not MY loss.* My full name is Ida A. Irigo.
* I was born on September 17, 1984.
* I have both an older sister and an older brother (my sister's the eldest).
* I used to study in St. Benedict College, Alabang, Muntinlupa. I studied there for 12 years. I was given the Loyalty Award. I am now studying in De La Salle University Manila.
* I like anime. (duh?!)
* I'm very picky about which anime I like, though.
* I like both sunrise and sunsets.
* I'm used to sleeping late. I almost never feel sleepy (at least not until after 12 mn).
* I always wake up later than I'm supposed to, whether it's a school day or a weekend.
* I'm very time-conscious. Time-conscious in a sense that I will not survive one day away from home without a watch and will go crazy if I don't know what time it is. But my being time-conscious doesn't affect my sleeping habits, eating habits or my punctuality in any way.
* I like to think.
* I like to write. I'm not that good at writing, but I do have a good hand-writing.
* I am head-over-heels in love with Calligraphy.
* I like to read.
* My desk is always messy.
* I love going to the movies. There was a time when I would watch a movie with my sister every week. Sometimes, we even watched 2 movies a week.
* I like fighting games better than RPGs.
* I play the piano. I'm not good, but at least I can.
* I can't swim or ride a bike. I can skate, though.
* I like pistachio ice cream. I love mint chocolate chip. Vanilla is okay.
* I love eating at restaurants and ordering weird stuff from the the menu, especially when I'm not the one paying.
* I like talking.
* I like to listen, too.
* I was awarded 'Medic of the Year' during our CAT Graduation last March 9, 2001. I have no idea why.
* I still like newly polished black leather shoes without any red floorwax on it.
* I don't have a favorite or a least favorite subject in school. Not really.
* I changed my major from International Studies Major in European Studies to Japanese Studies. It's still under the same department under the College of Liberal Arts, though.
* I hate studying!
* I really really really miss high school.
* I like it when people sign the slambook and guestbook (hint! hint!)
* I love all my friends. They're mostly from high school, but my college friends are also great.
* But I'm still not very good at socializing with other people.
* I'm a very layzie and boring person (yes, the wrong spelling is deliberate). I rarely get excited.
* I hate children. I find getting along with 3-10-year-old kids very difficult.
* I like all kinds of music, except for jazz and some r&b's.
* My favorite artists are Dave Matthews Band and Toad the Wet Sprocket.
* I love OPM (Rivermaya, The Dawn, Barbie's Cradle, Sugarfree, and Moonstar88's "Fall On Me").
* My favorite songs at the moment are I Saw You Coming In by The Dawn and Fear by Sarah McLachlan
*Occassionally, I also like mainstream (F4, 98 Degrees, Mandy Moore), though the operative word here is "occassionally".
* I love watching TV. I watch mostly comedy sitcoms (Friends, Spin City, etc.) and sci-fi stuff (Smallville, Buffy, Star Trek, etc.) aside of course, from anime.
* And the only drama I really watched and genuinely liked was Meteor Garden.
* I used to really love Paulo Coehlo's book "The Alchemist", but now I think it's just too commercialized. It's still a good read, though.
* I'm a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield (before they too got too commercialized).
* I am way into Legolas, The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
* I won a contest sponsored by a very teeny-boppery magazine, won a free valentine's day dinner at a posh restaurant, and brought my parents as my dates (because it's not embarassing to pig out in front of them, and i had to pig out-- it was free!).
* I have a thing for Filipino Movies. I do. Besides, Narinig Mo Na Bang L8est? and Got to Believe really aren't that bad.
* I still can't believe Rico Yan's dead.
* My favorite movies are Meet Joe Black and Casablanca.
* I like shopping for clothes. I love shopping for books.
* I hate having to take responsibility for anything.
* I was the first HS Junior to ever be the Editor-In-Chief of the school newspaper, but only by default. I was the E-I-C of the Filipino Staff for 2 years.
* I am now the Associate Editor of the European Studies Association's (ESA) newsletter, Europolitan.
* I used to be a new staffer of Malate, the official Literary Folio of De La Salle University. But I stopped showing up for meetings, etc. because I couldn't handle the work. I also felt that my writing was too mediocre compared to the true artists who were the real members of the org.
* Lastly, I am still very terrified of the future and I think I always will be.
